Restylane-L® & Perlane-L® Fillers by Medicis Aesthetics

Volume loss in the facial tissue is one cause of aging that we can avoid.  You may have heard of Restylane-L®, with lidocaine, through friends or information on movie stars that use Restylane to help maintain their youthful appearance.

Restylane-L®'s main ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in human skin, with the ability to attract and bind water molecules to help maintain volume. The hyaluronic acid in your body plays a vital role in the firmness of your skin, the shape of your features and the lubrication of your joints. It is in the form of a non animal clear gel, that is injected into the skin with a very fine needle to restore skin contours and smooth lines, and wrinkles. It is also frequently used to smooth and enhance the lips.

Both Resylane-L®  Perlane-L® are hyaluronic acid fillers, however Perlane-L® contains larger molecules of the acid, resulting in a fuller appearance. Perlane-L® is usually used in areas that have a need for more volume and filling up of deeper lines and wrinkles.
