Chemical Peels

WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL?
A peel is a simple and controlled procedure which helps to remove dead skin cells that have built up on the skin`s surface, revealing the fresh, healthy skin underneath. Peels are available in various concentrations that range from mild to aggressive to meet your individual needs.

WHAT IMPROVEMENTS CAN I EXPECT FROM A PEEL?
Results that are achieved from a chemical peel can vary person to person but typical improvements among most clients are:

• Softening of fine lines
• Reduction in the appearance of wrinkles
• Increased smoothness of skin texture
• Improvement in the appearance of acne scarring
• Lightening of pigmented lesions (brown spots)
• More even skin tone
• Increased moisture in the skin
• Increased glow and radiance
• Reduction in pore size

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Peels can be done on almost all areas of the body, including the face, chest, back, top of hands, arms, and legs.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
Since peels range from mild to aggressive, downtime depends primarily on which peel you choose. Most of our peels have very little downtime and clients expect to resume all normal activities afterwards. You may notice your skin has a sunburned sensation or may appear slightly red or pink after treatment and some peels will cause sloughing or mild peeling of the skin a few days afterwards. Your skin care technician will be able to work with you to determine which peel would be best suited for you.

HOW LONG DOES A PEEL TAKE?
This procedure from start to finish typically takes less than one hour. Book your free consultation to discuss any further questions about the chemical peel procedure.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
It usually takes 3-5 treatments at a two to four week interval to achieve the desired effect.
